When you live in a small space, it makes sense for your furniture to pull double, or even triple, duty. It’s economical and it saves space. If the Tiny House trend is any indicator, furniture that pulls its weight and can work overtime is a hit.
One of our favorite pieces from CDI is a table that can be cranked up and down to adjust its height. It’s industrial and chic. It’s wheeled, and can go anywhere; but the wheels can lock, for when you’ve found just the right spot for it for now. If you’ve been through the shop, you’ve probably noticed this table.
Our client came to us looking for a table to meet many needs. It needed to function as a coffee table, an extra dining table, or a cocktail table. We immediately thought of this CDI crank table, and Anna set to work at reinventing it to meet so many different needs. The original top wasn’t large enough, but Anna had an ace up her sleeve with an antique tin and wooden stove cover. Our carpenter, Whitney, rebuilt the base and frame to custom fit it to the table top. The results were incredible, and the table is gorgeous.
